When Planting Nursery Stock, Perennials or Bedding Flowers---Remember 1-2-3:

1. Mix in Bumper Crop to improve the soil.  Bumper Crop is all organic and adds many special ingredients that cause your plants to thrive.

2. Add Master Start to your planting hole--Feeds your plants so they get off to a fast start.

3. Soak the roots in Rootmaster--This has a hormone that will cause new roots to form and grow.

Acid-Loving Plants:

• Use Soil Sulfur in addition to the 1-2-3 Program and mulch with a more acid mulch such as Pine Bark Mulch.

Flower Feeding to Have the Most Blooms:

• Master Nursery Bud & Bloom will give you the best flowering in your beds because it has more phosphorus than other kinds of liquid feed.  It dissolves the most completely, too.  We use it in our flower gardens.

Feeding Evergreens:

• Miracle Gro Evergreen Feed---This gives you rich lush foliage on your evergreens.

Starting Your Lawn:

• The very best grass seed for our area is the new thin bladed, disease resistant Trifecta Fescue.  Universities highly recommend this for drought resistance, disease resistance, and appearance.  Hard to distinguish from Kentucky Blue Grass.

• Weed Control in Flower and Vegetable Beds---Miracle Gro Weed Preventer.  Use like Preen on the beds before weeds germinate.  Easier to apply and cheaper.

• Weeds in Ground Covers---Ortho Grass-B-Gon.  Spray right into the ground covers to keep grasses from taking over.

• Sprouts on trees and shrubs---Sucker Stopper.  Prevents unwanted sprouts from the base of trees such as crabapples.

• Powdery Mildew Problems---Erase Powdery Mildew Control.

• Tomato Plant Enhancers---Red Plastic Mulch & Bonide Tomato Set.  Red mulch will give greater yields of tomatoes and help repel some insects.  Tomato Set will give you earlier tomatoes and many of them will be seedless.
